Have you ever thought about why you start craving ice cream the minute you tell yourself you can't have it?
I usually don't eat many sweets. I don't like to eat a lot of anything with processed sugar although I will indulge from time to time. Let's be real, 80/20 people!
So check this, a while ago I got invited to participate in a 'Sugar Challenge' that my friend was hosting. (No, we didn't spend 30 days trying to see who could eat the most sugar!)
I thought, 'pppssh, I got this! I'm already ahead of the curve because I don't really eat sweets, I don't even keep them in the house. Let's do this! I'm soooooo gonna win!'
I ate more candy, sweets, ice cream, and sugar in those 30 days than I had in the previous 3 years combined. Legit! Something took over the minute I 'denied' myself of having any. A craving, an urge, a salivating thirst that could only be quench with the touch of a certain white crystal substance... SUGAR!!
Do you feel like eating healthy means 'denying' yourself of everything tasty? Denying yourself of food you would actually enjoy?!
Do you feel like you have to eat salads and dare I say, KALE, to 'do your body good?'
Now, I happen to like Kale but of course if you don't like it don't eat it. Don't go trying to shove your face full of food you don't like, that's a sure fire was to start creating a negative association with eating clean.
Another thing I love... PIZZA!! Ah, my mouth waters just thinking about it. But here's the kicker, I found an incredibly delicious recipe for 'Pepper Pizza' that actually has nutritional value. As opposed to the pizza you buy for 8 bucks to feed your whole family with nothing but grease and cheese.
Hey, no judgement here. Me and my dude used to live off Little Ceasers $5 pizza, we've been there!
I just have to share this recipe with you! It's too good not to let it bloom in the world.
I would absolutely love to hear what you think! Shoot me an email and let me know! I love to gather pizza lovers together :)
Speaking of which, if you have a buddy who loves pizza like crazy, share this recipe with them too and let them know they don't have to deprive their lives of delicious pizza!
